Kauhale Kai has now spent over 4 years traveling the world . This year we passed 50,000 ocean miles, a distance of almost twice around the center of the earth! She has offered us a million small moments of adventure, laughter, excitement and satisfaction.

Each person who has spent time with us aboard has been a big part of that experience. I once said, "If I ever make it big I'm going to buy a big boat and invite all my friends to come and play with me." Well, play we have. Thank you....all of you who have been a part of this experience. The journey continues!!

Trogir, Croatia

Kellie and I flew back to Croatia on Sept 4th and met up with the boat, my parents, Alec and Cindy Chambers as well as Keiki Kai. We spent a couple beautiful and sometimes stormy days in Trogir, near Split before heading south.

Although this set of adventures happened far from Kauhale Kai and the coast of Croatia, I decided to include them in our blog of travels. We left the boat on August 25th and headed to Budapest, Hungary for 5 days and then some of us continued on to Berlin.

Week Two: No Parents...

Benny, Al, Carrie, Ali, Kellie Roche, Deanna and I had another fabulous week on Kauhale Kai as she made her way once more out of the Dubrovnik harbor and headed north towards Zadar. We stopped at the Krka National Park, where we spent a day hiking amongst beautiful waterfalls, anchored in some picturesque bays, had lots of dance parties, and late night swimming sessions. We could hardly contain ourselves!

Girls Week

As anyone can clearly see, there was no trouble having a good time with 6 awesome girls aboard Kauhale Kai.

girls week

Poor Jack...

After Orion and Lilly left from Dubrovnik to head back to Hawaii, as sad as it was to see them go, we had an extremely eventful fun filled week of girls, bikinis, inter-tubing, cocktailing, and serious dance parties. It was such a blast to have Summer, Becky, Deanna, Jaime, and Solana all together on kauhale kai.

big fish

We couldnt have been happier when cruising from Sicily to Greece when we heard the trolling lines yelp with victory. We immediately stopped the boat and reeled in a yellow-fin tuna. The only fish we really wanted to catch. We had sashimi for a week straight and could barely contain our delight.

Corfu, Greece

We arrived in Corfu, Greece with a warm welcome from Dan on the docks as if he knew exactly when we would be arriving. We had such of good time with Dan, Nicko, Ian and the crew of the beautiful Shamrock V, we had some fabulous wet tender adventures, lunch at a beautiful restaurant, wakeboarded quite a bit, danced even more, wore wigs, watched them light the floor on fire and even managed to fit four people on one scooter.
