Kauhale Kai: Ville Franche sur Mer

Kauhale Kai has now spent over 4 years traveling the world . This year we passed 50,000 ocean miles, a distance of almost twice around the center of the earth! She has offered us a million small moments of adventure, laughter, excitement and satisfaction.

Each person who has spent time with us aboard has been a big part of that experience. I once said, "If I ever make it big I'm going to buy a big boat and invite all my friends to come and play with me." Well, play we have. Thank you....all of you who have been a part of this experience. The journey continues!!

Ville Franche sur Mer

This little fishing village just east of Nice is one of the most colorful towns I’ve ever seen. We spent only 2 days there, eating delicious salad nicoise, noizzette’s, and meandering the narrow streets. The second day we headed up to the late Prince of Sweden’s former winter home, Eze, a small castle perched atop a sheer cliff with breath-taking, panoramic views of the entire coastline.

Fantastic Fun with Fabulous Friends!

As usual playing with friends in French Polynesia is a blast. Well, playing with friends is almost always a blast but playing with them in a place with 81 degree water and a million shades of blue somehow always adds to the experience.

Toys on Board:
2 tenders, a wakeboard, 2 Kawasaki jetskis, Dive compressor and 10 tanks, 4 BC's,( + the crews), snorkeling gear for 10, 2 kayaks, 3 standup paddleboards, 5 kites and 2 kiteboards, 8 surfboards, 8 rods & reels and a ton of gear , 2 bikes . We left the scooters at home this trip. If after all that you can't figure out what to do, there's always a good book and a nap in the shade!
